Rally & Stage Rally
RC stage rally, timed and scored
Point-to-point stage rally with multi-stage timing, interval starts, championship standings, age categories, team scoring, and VP/SVP penalties. Plus full rallycross circuit racing with joker laps.
Two Rally Formats
Stage rally and rallycross are not the same thing
RaceLyx treats stage rally and rallycross as the fundamentally different formats they are. Stage rally uses the point-to-point engine. Rallycross uses the circuit lap-counting engine.
Stage Rally (Point-to-Point)
Multi-stage timed runs with individual interval starts. Each driver is timed one at a time through the course. Cumulative time across all stages determines the winner.
Rally Cross (Circuit)
Lap-based circuit racing on a mixed-surface track. Standard qualifying and mains with optional joker laps. Uses the same timing engine as oval and road course.
Stage Rally Engine
The point-to-point engine
In stage rally each driver runs the stage alone, against the clock. Manual or gate timing, interval starts, false-start detection, and cumulative scoring across stages.
Multi-Stage Events
Configure any number of special stages (SS1, SS2, SS3...). Name them, reorder them, advance through them during the event.
Interval Starts
Running clock with configurable driver intervals (30s-300s). Automatic DNS enforcement when the start window expires.
Manual or Gate Timing
Use decoder gates for automated start/finish detection, or manual button presses for co-driver timing. Runs off a monotonic clock, so the running time never jumps backward.
False Start Detection
Automatic detection when a driver breaks the start gate early. Driver is re-queued to the front automatically.
Split Times
Intermediate timing gates for sector splits. See how drivers compare through different parts of the stage.
Co-Driver Tracking
Full co-driver field on every entrant. Shown on queue, standings, and exported results.
3 Scoring Modes
Cumulative (sum of all stages), Best-Of (single best run), or Average. Stage rally defaults to cumulative.
Live Leaderboard
Real-time standings update after every run. Leader change detection with announcer callouts.
Championship Manager
Championship standings across the season
Track standings across an entire rally season. Custom points tables, age categories, team scoring, drop-worst logic, and tiebreaker rules, all computed automatically.
Custom Points Tables
CRC-style 56/51/48/45... absolute scoring, or define your own points-per-position table. Separate table for category standings.
Age Categories
SuperJunior (0-11), Junior (12-19), Senior (20-35), Matador (36-49), Veteran (50+). Auto-computed from date of birth.
Women's Category
Dedicated women's standings running in parallel with age categories. Scored with the category points table.
Drop Worst Results
Automatic drop logic based on calendar size: no drops for 1-6 events, drop 1 for 7-9, drop 2 for 10+. Fully configurable.
Team Scoring
Best N drivers (default: 2) from each team score per event. Team championship standings computed automatically.
Tiebreaker Rules
When points are tied, the driver with more 1st-place finishes wins. If still tied, compare 2nd places, then 3rd, and so on.
Import from Session
One click imports results from the current rally session into the championship tracker. Build the season event by event.
Championship PDF Export

Penalty System
Penalties and audit trail
From simple time additions to automatically computed virtual penalties. Full audit trail for every penalty applied.
Time Penalties
+10s, +15s, +30s, +60sFixed time additions for infractions like gate contact, false positioning, or unsporting behavior.
VP (Virtual Penalty)
2x fastest timeAssigned for serious infractions, mechanical failure during a stage, or failure to start. Automatically computed from the fastest stage time.
SVP (Super Virtual Penalty)
3x fastest timeIssued after two VPs in a single event. The maximum penalty short of disqualification.
Status Penalties
DNF, DNS, DSQDid Not Finish, Did Not Start, and Disqualification. Full audit trail with reasons and timestamps.
Age Categories
Age categories, scored separately
Five age-based categories with automatic assignment from date of birth. Each category has its own standings, its own points table, and its own champion.
Rally Cross
Rallycross runs on the circuit engine
Rallycross is circuit racing: multiple drivers on track at once, laps counted by transponder. RaceLyx treats it like any other circuit format, plus joker laps and multi-gate timing.
Joker Lap
Mandatory alternate route that each driver must take at least once per race. Configurable time penalty if missed.
Multi-Gate Timing
Multiple timing gates for start, finish, and intermediate checkpoints.
Standard Qualifying & Mains
Same qualifying formats as oval/road course: timed, points-based, or best run. Bump-up mains supported.
Full Race Timing
Uses the circuit lap-counting engine with all the same features: crash recovery, lap correction, live positions, pit tracking.
