Before you start

Step by step

Open Voice & Audio
Audio Output Device picks your speakers. Announcer voice is just below.

Open the voice list
Two tabs: Piper voices and Windows voices. "Natural voices that work offline. Each is a one-time download; Play works before you download."

Search
Each row shows the voice, a Play sample button and the download size.

Play a sample
Try a few before you pick.

Download and use it
"Ready. Works offline." Remove deletes the download if you change your mind.
Tips
- Search by feel: deep, warm, quick, or a name.
- Play works before you download, so try a few.
- Once one ManyVoice voice is downloaded, the others share the pack and show Add instead of a size.
- Lively race calls says leader changes and the finish with energy, like a race caller.
Troubleshooting
- The download stopped.
- Press Resume download, or Try again.
- I want the old voice back.
- Open the Windows voices tab and pick it.
