We are recording this one now. It will play right here when it is ready.

Everything RaceLyx knows is in one database file on this PC. Automatic backups keep copies for you. Make one by hand before anything big, like an import.

Before you start

  • Nothing.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Open Data & System

Race data and passings are saved to the local database automatically.

  2. 2

    Automatic backups

Interval: every hour to weekly. Keep max: 5 to 50.

  3. 3

    Backup Now

A toast says Backup saved. The list shows each backup with its size, and Restore on each one.

  4. 4

    Restore

RaceLyx keeps your current data first, then asks you to restart.

Tips

  • Daily backups, keeping 10, suits most clubs.
  • Backup Database saves a copy anywhere you like, like a USB stick.
  • Restore Database saves your current data to the backups folder first, then replaces it. Restart afterwards.
  • RaceLyx Cloud is a second, off-site copy.

Troubleshooting

Where are the automatic backups?
Listed under Auto-Backup, each with Restore. The files are in the backups folder in RaceLyx's data folder.
