The Overlay Designer lets you lay out your own stream graphics. Drag boxes onto the canvas, style them, and save. Saved designs appear in the OBS overlays list.

Before you start

  • The display server running, to get an OBS address.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Open the designer

Build your own OBS overlay: drag boxes onto the canvas and put them where you want them.

  2. 2

    Add a box

Timing: Leaderboard, Single position, Race clock, Lap counter. Session: Session name, Fastest lap, Flag bar. Branding: Text, Image. Popups: lead change and knocked out.

  3. 3

    Add a race clock

Position and Size set it exactly.

  4. 4

    Style it

Behind sets the background: see-through for OBS, dark, light or your own photo.

  5. 5

    Name and save

"Overlay saved". With the server running, the OBS URL appears.

Tips

  • Ctrl+Z undoes, Ctrl+D duplicates a box.
  • Ctrl+Alt+C and Ctrl+Alt+V copy and paste a box's look.
  • Safe area shows where TV edges might cut off.
  • Deleting a saved overlay has no confirm, so take care.

Troubleshooting

There is no OBS URL.
Save the overlay first, with the display server running.
