We are recording this one now. It will play right here when it is ready.

A few settings change how every race behaves. Set them once for your club and they apply to every session.

Before you start

  • Nothing; any plan.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Open Settings, Race

The Preferences card holds time format, what RaceLyx opens on, and the race toggles.

  2. 2

    Grid or staggered starts

Grid start: everyone goes at once, and cars on the same lap are ordered by who crossed the line first. Staggered start: cars go one at a time, each timed from its own first crossing.

  3. 3

    Auto-start between heats

Choose Disabled, 15, 30, 45 or 60 seconds. A Next Heat Starting card shows the countdown with a Cancel button.

  4. 4

    Race toggles

Show unknown transponder alerts warns when a transponder nobody owns crosses the line. Flag impossibly fast laps keeps them out of best lap. The Rival strip shows the car just ahead and behind in practice and races.

Tips

  • Grid start orders cars on the same lap by who crossed first. Staggered start times each car from its own first crossing.
  • Auto-Start Delay Between Heats runs a countdown and starts the next heat by itself, handy at a big event.
  • Keep "Flag impossibly fast laps" on. It keeps a bad read out of best lap without throwing the lap away.

Troubleshooting

Next heat started before drivers were ready.
Set Auto-Start Delay Between Heats back to Disabled, or cancel the countdown on the Next Heat Starting card.
