Rained out, or someone went home early? Refund the payment in Financials. RaceLyx records the refund against the original payment, so the report stays right. A full refund marks the driver unpaid again.

Before you start

  • Club plan.
  • A paid transaction to refund.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Transactions

Every payment with its date, driver, type, amount, how it was paid, and whether it is paid.

  2. 2

    A paid entry fee

Add Transaction with the driver and amount, marked as paid.

  3. 3

    Refund

The Refund window opens with the amount left to refund filled in.

  4. 4

    Amount, reason and how

Refund amount ($), Reason (like rained out, went home early, charged twice) and Paid back by.

  5. 5

    Record Refund

The toast says how much was refunded and to whom. The payment row shows Refunded.

Tips

  • Refund only appears on paid payments.
  • Part refunds are fine: the row then shows how much was refunded.
  • For a payment taken online with Stripe, refund it in your Stripe dashboard; RaceLyx then shows it as refunded and clears the paid flag.

Troubleshooting

There is no Refund button.
The payment is not marked paid, or it is already fully refunded.
