We are recording this one now. It will play right here when it is ready.

Once a heat is staged, Start Race runs the countdown and timing goes live. The table updates every lap, and at the end of the time each car finishes the lap it is on.

Before you start

  • A heat staged.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Stage the heat

The Start Race button shows the Space key next to it.

  2. 2

    Start Race

The countdown overlay can be cancelled with Cancel start or Escape. Then "Timing is live".

  3. 3

    The live table

Columns adds Pace, Average, Behind Next and more. Status chips show ON GRID, NOT SEEN, LAPPED and DONE.

  4. 4

    The finish

OVERTIME shows while cars are finishing, with who RaceLyx is waiting for.

Tips

  • Space starts a staged heat and stops a running one.
  • Escape cancels the countdown.
  • Tick Start lights on the staging panel for a lights start on race heats. It is the same setting as Race Control's.
  • Zoom the table with Ctrl and + or -, and pick extra columns from Columns.
  • If anyone is missing, RaceLyx names them and asks Wait or Start anyway.

Troubleshooting

A car shows NOT SEEN.
It has not crossed since the start. It will be DNS if it never does.
The heat will not end.
It is waiting for cars to finish their last lap. Stop Session ends it now.
