Correct a saved result

Fix a result after it is saved: add a time or lap penalty, DNF or DSQ, or exclude, split and merge laps. Standings and the public page update.

Before you start

  • A saved session that is not locked as official.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Open the session

    The results table lists every driver.

    Penalty

    The menu has a seconds penalty, -1 lap, +1 lap, DSQ and DNF.

  3. 3

    Add five seconds

    Applied to the saved result: the order, points and the public results update.

  4. 4

    Fix a lap

    Split a missed read, merge a double read. Total time stays; the lap count and the order update.

Tips

  • Split a lap fixes a missed read; Merge with next lap fixes a double read. Total time stays the same.
  • Exclude from best lap keeps a short-cut lap out of the best lap without removing it.
  • Write a reason in "Why?" so the audit log explains it.

Troubleshooting

Penalty asks me to re-open the results.
The result is locked as official. Re-open it as provisional with a reason, then correct it.
