Sometimes a driver needs to swap heats: they are marshalling, sharing a radio, or a parent is in the next heat. Edit Heats lets you move people without redrawing everything.
Before you start
- Heats generated.
- No heat running.
Step by step

Open Edit Heats
The Heat Editor shows each heat as a column, with Unassigned on the left.

Pick a driver
The hint changes to "Moving ... choose Put here on a heat."

Put here
They move straight away. Drag and drop does the same.

Balance
Add Heat makes an empty heat to fill by hand.

Done Editing
If a driver now races twice in a row, RaceLyx offers Space them out.
Tips
- Drag a driver onto a heat, or click them and then Put here.
- Drop at a position inside a heat to change their grid spot.
- Balance spreads drivers evenly; Shuffle mixes them at random.
- Esc cancels a pick.
Troubleshooting
- Edit Heats is greyed out.
- Stop the running heat first, or save or reset the finished one.
- A heat says "Already run. Locked."
- Results that are run cannot be changed here.
