Heats & Program builds the running order for the night. Generate Heats draws the entered drivers into qualifying heats. When a round is done, RaceLyx asks how to set up the next one.
Before you start
- An active event with drivers entered.
Step by step
- 1
Open Heats & Program
Each heat card lists its drivers. Heat outlines show what is Loaded, Previewing or Already run.
- 2
Clear Heats
All heats and bump-ups are discarded. Saved results are not affected.
- 3
Generate Heats
Ready means on the roster with a transponder and entered for this event.
- 4
Type, size and length
Racers / Heat and Duration come from Event Setup. Seed is Random Shuffle, Keep Order or Reverse Order.
- 5
Separate heats per class
The preview line shows how many heats you will get and how long each is.
- 6
Generate
After each round, RaceLyx asks how to set up the next: Re-seed from Results, Stagger (Rotate Heats), Keep Same Heats, Re-shuffle Random or Reverse Order.
Tips
- Separate heats per class gives each class its own heats with its own settings.
- After round one, Re-seed from Results groups drivers by pace, fastest together. It is the usual choice.
- Find which heat a driver is in with the search box above the heats.
- Clear Heats discards the program. Saved results are not touched.
Troubleshooting
- "Nobody is ready to draw yet".
- A driver needs a transponder and to be entered for this event. Enter them on Entries.
- Generate is greyed out with a plan limit.
- Your plan allows a set number of drivers per event. Deselect some, or upgrade.
