LyxBridge is the RaceLyx timing bridge. It plugs into the PC by USB and talks to battery gates around the course by radio. It is the usual hardware for stage rally and works for circuit timing too.

Before you start

  • LyxBridge plugged in by USB.
  • Gates charged and switched on.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Choose LyxBridge

The card reads "RaceLyx timing bridge + gates". LyxBridge connects over a serial port like an I-Lap.

  2. 2

    Pick the port and Connect

When connected, the card shows the port, how many gates it knows and how many are online.

  3. 3

    Gates check in

Until a gate checks in, the card says "Bridge connected, no gates have checked in yet". The grid hint reads "Click a gate to configure, test, or rename".

  4. 4

    Test and rename a gate

Naming gates makes the course setup in Event Setup much easier to read.

  5. 5

    Ping, battery, reset

Quick actions are Ping, Check Battery, Reset and Start Race. Program LyxBridge updates the firmware.

Tips

  • Every gate boots as Gate 1 until you set it. Click a gate to configure, test or rename it.
  • Check Battery before a long rally day.
  • Program LyxBridge updates the bridge firmware from inside RaceLyx.

Troubleshooting

"Bridge connected, no gates have checked in yet".
The gates are off, out of range, or on another channel. Switch one on next to the bridge and wait a few seconds.
A gate shows offline in Rally Control.
Its battery may be flat or it is out of range. Ping it from this page.
