A rally runs one car at a time over a course, timed from start to finish. Event Setup has a Race Settings step for rally that sets what kind of rally, how runs are timed, and the course.
Before you start
- Classes and drivers set up.
- For gate timing, LyxBridge connected with gates checked in.
Step by step
- 1
Start the event
The steps for a rally are Event Info, Race Type, Classes, Race Settings and Review.
- 2
Choose Rally
Rally is timed runs, one car at a time: Best Run, Time Attack or a multi-stage rally, on start and finish gates, one loop, or a start/stop button.
- 3
What kind of event?
Stage Rally scores total time across stages. Time Attack gives more runs and the fastest single run wins.
- 4
How are runs timed?
Timing gates use transponder or beam gates at start and finish. One loop: start and finish uses one loop for both.
- 5
Runs and scoring
Scoring is Best Run (best one counts) or Average of all runs.
- 6
Review and Apply
The review line sums it up, for example "Best Run rally, 3 runs, best one counts".
Tips
- Start/stop button needs no gates: you start and finish each run with Space and Enter, or a USB race button.
- Best Run: timed runs, best one counts. Time Attack: more runs, fastest single run wins. Stage Rally: total time across stages.
- With two or more classes, choose Run mixed or One class at a time.
Troubleshooting
- "No timing gates detected".
- Connect LyxBridge first, or choose Start/stop button. Rally Control also warns if gate timing has no gates set, with a link back to Race Settings.
