Rally Practice is open running before the rally. Anyone can run as many times as they like, and the board keeps each driver's best run. It is saved as practice and never counts toward results.

Before you start

  • Nothing; hand timing works without gates.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Open Rally Practice

Walk up and run. Unlimited runs, best run per driver, saved to Results as practice.

  2. 2

    How are runs timed?

With no gates set up, practice times by hand.

  3. 3

    Start practice

The live board opens with the queue and Practice times.

  4. 4

    Add a driver

Someone not in Drivers can be typed in with a name and car number.

  5. 5

    Run and time it

Practice times shows Best, Runs and Last for every driver.

  6. 6

    End & save

    Toast: "Practice saved to Results".

Tips

  • Next car (or the race button) times the next car without a name. Name it after the run with Assign.
  • Add driver queues a named driver.
  • End & save puts the practice in Results.

Troubleshooting

"A rally is running."
Finish or reset the scored rally in Rally Control first.
