We are recording this one now. It will play right here when it is ready.

A USB race button lets you start and finish hand-timed rally runs without the keyboard. A barcode scanner reads driver cards at entry and check-in. Both are set up in Settings, Hardware & Integrations.

Before you start

  • The button or scanner plugged in by USB.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Open Hardware & Integrations

This tab holds the barcode scanner, the USB race button, OBS integration and kiosk mode.

  2. 2

    Choose how the button talks

Raw USB device is for buttons that do not act like a keyboard; press Scan to find them.

  3. 3

    Set from button

RaceLyx remembers the key. Tap it in Rally Control to move to the next step: stage, start, finish.

  4. 4

    Barcode scanner

Driver cards come from Drivers, Print cards. Scanning one finds the driver at entry, check-in and the racer sign-in screen.

Tips

  • Most buttons just type a key. Choose "Types a key", then Set from button and press it once.
  • Hold the race button during a run to scratch it. RaceLyx says "Keep holding to scratch", then "Run scratched".
  • A scanner works anywhere the screen says "Scanner ready".

Troubleshooting

The button does nothing in Rally Control.
Click Set from button again and press it, so RaceLyx learns which key it sends.
