Show on a TV or projector

Put the TV board, full scoreboard or heat program full screen on a TV or projector plugged into the timing PC, while race control stays on your screen.

Show on TV opens a board full screen on a second screen plugged into this PC. Race control stays on your screen. It starts the display server too.

Before you start

  • A TV or projector plugged into the PC, with Windows set to Extend (Win + P).

Step by step

    Show on a TV or projector

    It opens full screen on another screen plugged into this PC.

  2. 2

    Pick the screen

    Screens are listed like "Screen 2 (right) · 1920×1080".

    What to show

    Show: TV board, Full scoreboard or Heat program. Theme: Dark or Light. Text size: Normal to 2x.

    Show on TV

    "Showing on Screen 2. Press Esc on that screen to close it." The button now reads Update TV.

    Stop showing

    Or press Esc on the TV.

Tips

  • Light reads better on a projector or in a bright room. Dark suits an indoor TV.
  • Text size goes up to 2x for a big room.
  • Press Esc on the TV, or Stop showing, to close it.
  • The TV window never speaks; the announcer stays on your PC.

Troubleshooting

"Only one screen is connected."
Plug in the TV, press Win + P and choose Extend. Duplicate would copy race control onto the TV.
The board covers race control.
You picked the screen RaceLyx is on. Pick the TV instead.
