RaceLyx serves its screens from the timing PC. Any TV, tablet or phone on the same network can open them in a browser: the full scoreboard, results, heats, walk-up registration or driver check-in.

Before you start

  • Devices on the same Wi-Fi or wired network as the timing PC.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Open Displays & Overlays

Scoreboards, OBS overlays, kiosks and remote control, all served from this machine.

  2. 2

    Start server

The card says "Display server running" with the address and how many screens are connected.

  3. 3

    Pick a screen

Also Facility Display and Streaming Setup. Copy a row's address and open it on the device.

  4. 4

    Check it here

Opening while the server is stopped says "Start the display server first."

  5. 5

    Stop server

"Display server stopped. Connected screens will go blank."

Tips

  • The default port is 8080. If another program has it, RaceLyx moves up to 8081 and tells you the new address.
  • A server you started comes back by itself at the next launch until you press Stop server.
  • Each row's Open button opens the screen on this PC to check it.

Troubleshooting

A tablet cannot load the address.
Check it is on the same network, then allow RaceLyx through Windows Firewall.
The address changed to 8081.
Another program was using 8080. Copy the new address to your screens and OBS.
