Remote control lets a Stream Deck or a phone press the race buttons: GO, flags, stop, save and next heat, roll call and more. It runs on the display server, protected by a pairing token.

Before you start

  • The RaceLyx Stream Deck plugin installed in the Elgato Stream Deck app, or a phone on the same Wi-Fi.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Open Stream Deck & Remote

    Stream Deck / Remote Control.

  2. 2

    Enable remote control

It exposes token-protected control routes on the display server.

  3. 3

    Copy the pairing token

Paste this into the RaceLyx Stream Deck plugin.

  4. 4

    Pair the plugin

Host is 127.0.0.1 on this PC, Port 8080. Test checks the connection.

  5. 5

    Or pair a phone

The phone opens a race control board. "Last reached from" shows when a device connects.

Tips

  • The plugin ships two profiles: RaceLyx Race Director (15 keys) and RaceLyx Race Director Plus (Stream Deck +).
  • Generate new token cuts off every paired device.
  • Allow control from other devices (LAN) is needed for a phone or a Stream Deck on another PC.

Troubleshooting

The phone cannot reach it.
It must be on the same network. The page shows a Windows firewall command under "If the phone cannot reach it".
The plugin says Not tested.
Check Host, Port (8080, or 8081 if moved) and paste the token again, then Test.
