RaceLyx is organized in eight areas down the left side: Home, Race, Event, Results, Displays, Drivers, Club and Settings. Each area has a landing page with everything it holds, and the sidebar shows a few shortcuts under each.
Before you start
- RaceLyx set up with a track.
Step by step
- 1
Home is your race-day dashboard
The ready strip tells you if a decoder is connected, whether you are synced, and your plan. The Start cards open Quick Race, an Event, Practice or Rally. Needs attention lists anything to fix before racing.
- 2
Eight areas in the sidebar
Displays holds TVs, overlays and printing. Drivers holds the roster, members and loaner transponders. Club holds imports, notifications and financials. Settings holds timing hardware, tracks, cloud and data.
- 3
Each area has a landing page
Race Control always opens the right screen for the event format. The rest, Quick Race, Practice, Rally and Rally Practice, run without an event.
- 4
The header
The event picker shows the active event or "No Event". The decoder chip reads "No hardware" until you connect one; click it to open Timing Hardware. On the right are Sound, Help and Settings.
- 5
Press ? for help
The Help panel shows tips for the page you are on, the keyboard shortcuts, and a Report a problem link that sends a note straight to RaceLyx support.
- 6
Search for a screen
The sidebar search matches screen names, so typing "trans" finds Transponders. Press Enter or click the match to go there.
Tips
- Press ? anywhere (outside a text box) to open Help for the page you are on.
- Type in the sidebar Search box to jump to any screen by name.
- Collapse the sidebar with the arrow at the top to get more room for the timing table.
Troubleshooting
- A menu item I saw in a video is missing.
- Some screens are plan features or switched off in Settings, Features. Locked ones still show with a plan tag.
