RaceLyx checks for updates every few hours and downloads them in the background. It never restarts by itself, and never while a session is running.

Before you start

  • Internet.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Updates

    Current version is shown.

  2. 2

    Check for updates

    "You're up to date", or the new version is downloaded.

  3. 3

    Install

    RaceLyx closes, installs the update and opens again.

Tips

  • The sidebar shows Update ready when one is downloaded.
  • Home shows the new version with What's new and an install button.
  • Install takes about a minute: RaceLyx closes, installs and opens again.

Troubleshooting

The button says Finish the session first.
Stop and save the running session. RaceLyx closes while it updates.
"The update did not install".
Close RaceLyx and open it again, or check again in Data & System.
