Every car on track needs a driver behind it. Add each driver once and RaceLyx remembers them, their classes and their transponders for every race after. The roster has no limit on any plan.
Before you start
- Classes set up, so you can pick one.
- The driver's transponder number. It is printed on the transponder.
Step by step
- 1
Open Drivers
The All Drivers tab lists your whole roster. With an event running, the Event Roster tab shows who is entered.
- 2
Click Add Driver
The New Driver form opens. Only the name is required.
- 3
Type the name
This name shows on the timing screen, the TV, the printed results and live.racelyx.com. Co-Driver and Team are optional.
- 4
Pick a class and transponder
One transponder per class; each transponder is a car. Leave the transponder blank to save the class with no car yet.
- 5
Racing a second class?
Each class row gets its own transponder. The driver then appears in both classes for heats and results.
- 6
Save Driver
The driver appears in All Drivers with their car and class. Click their row to add more cars, edit details or copy their driver code.
Tips
- Press Enter in the name box to save without the mouse.
- A driver racing two classes: click + Another class and give each class its own transponder.
- A class with no transponder is saved as the driver's class with no car yet. Add the car later from their row.
- With cloud on, "Add by Racer ID or QR code" pulls in a driver's own RaceLyx profile.
Troubleshooting
- Save says the transponder is already on another car.
- Each transponder belongs to one car. Open the other driver and remove it there first.
- It asks "Add another driver with this name?"
- A driver with that name already exists. Press Add Driver only if it really is a different person.
