Most clubs keep a few transponders to lend to new drivers. Transponders tracks which are out, who has them, and any deposit you are holding.

Before you start

  • The house transponder numbers.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Open Transponders

Transponders: loaner transponders, who has one, and when it comes back. The cards show how many are available, checked out, and the deposit you are holding.

  2. 2

    Add a house transponder

Once you have some, the button reads Add Transponder.

  3. 3

    Code and deposit

Condition helps you retire tired ones. Notes are for anything else, like "taped, reads short".

  4. 4

    Check it out

Check Out Transponder searches your roster by name, car number or driver code. Someone not on the roster lets you type a name instead.

  5. 5

    Check it in

If you took a deposit, RaceLyx asks whether you returned it. Confirm Check In puts the transponder back on Available.

Tips

  • Add each loaner to the driver's car too, so its laps count for them tonight.
  • House Transponders at the bottom of Drivers uses the same check-out and check-in.
  • A deposit makes it more likely the transponder comes home at the end of the night.
  • History keeps every check-out, so you can see who had one last.

Troubleshooting

I cannot delete a transponder.
It is checked out. Check it in first.
