An event is one race day: its classes, its entries, its heats and its results. Event Setup walks you through it in steps. The defaults suit most club nights, so you can press Next through anything you are not sure about and change it later with Edit Event.
Before you start
- Classes set up.
- Drivers on your roster (you can also add them on the day).
Step by step
- 1
Open Event Setup
The picker offers Standalone Event for a one-off race day and Series Round for a championship round. Start from Template appears once you have saved one.
- 2
Standalone Event
Results of a standalone event are not tied to a championship. You can still add it to a series later.
- 3
Name and date
Event Name is the only required field. Date & Time sets the start date, start time and end time. Choose Multi-Day Event for a weekend meeting.
- 4
Circuit Racing
Rally is for courses with separate start and finish, or one-loop stages. It has its own Race Settings step.
- 5
Choose the classes
Selected classes are highlighted, with a count below. Add New Class makes a new one without leaving the wizard.
- 6
Practice, qualifying and mains
Each step has its own video. Open Practice is on by default, and the Practice step also has the Endurance and Multi-Leg Finals cards (Pro plan). Qualifying defaults to three rounds of five minutes. Mains default to six minutes with eight cars.
- 7
Review and Apply Setup
Review lists everything in one place. Event Schedule lets you add times for the day's agenda, shown on the Kiosk and the flyer.
- 8
Save as a template
Templates hold the classes and formats, not the entries. Skip if this is a one-off.
Tips
- Standalone Event is a one-off race day. Series Round counts toward a championship.
- Pick a future date and the last button becomes Schedule Event, which saves it for later.
- Save it as a template at the end, and next time Start from Template fills everything in.
Troubleshooting
- Next is greyed out.
- Step 1 needs an Event Name.
- "An event with this name already exists".
- That is a warning, not an error. Add the date to the name to keep them apart.
- I only see Circuit Racing and Rally.
- Those are the two formats in this release. Drag and Drift are not offered yet.
