Walk-up registration

Open the walk-up registration screen on a tablet at the door, so drivers can enter themselves on your network.

Walk-up registration puts a sign-up screen on any tablet or phone on your network. Drivers type their name, class and transponder, and they appear in your entries.

Before you start

  • An active event.
  • A tablet on the same Wi-Fi as the timing PC.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Open the Walk-Up tab

    The card "What a walk-up entry does" explains where entries land.

    Open the registration screen

    RaceLyx says "Walk-up registration reopened." The registration page is on the display server at /register.

  3. 3

    Put it on a tablet

    Any browser works. The tablet must be on the same network as the timing PC.

  4. 4

    Close it when the door shuts

    Driver check-in has its own Open and Close on the same card.

Tips

  • Open the registration screen also starts the display server.
  • Close walk-up registration from Displays, Public access, when the door closes.
  • For sign-ups from home before race day, use Pre-Registration instead.

Troubleshooting

The tablet cannot open the page.
It must be on the same network as this PC. If it still fails, allow RaceLyx through Windows Firewall.
